It is with pleasure and pride that I welcome you to the start of the 109th Feast of the Blessed Sacrament.
Growing up in New Bedford, the Feast was a place to step away from work and chores, and get together with family and friends, and socialize while enjoying good food and music.
My association with the feast first began when I was able to serve on the 1998 Feast Committee with neighborhood friends, also serving for their first time.
This years’ committee has more than 100 men and women who range in age from 18 to 80. It is an honor and rewarding to work with them and their families, that bring a variety of talents to the committee.
Our aim is to preserve valuable traditions that have meant so much to our parents and grandparents. This is our way to help assure the Feast for future generations.
Wherever you are from, whether locally in Southeastern MA, elsewhere in this great country of ours, or visiting from abroad, we invite you to celebrate with us on July 31st through August 3rd, 2025.
I want you to leave with new friends and new memories that will be with you for the rest of your life.
Carl Colangelo
2025 Feast President
