Headlining Saturday Night, August 5th, STARLIGHT BAND (10:00pm-11:30pm - Stage 1)
The band Starlight started in May of 1984 upon the arrival of Tony Melo (leader – vocal singer) to Canada.
The band acted in local Portuguese Clubs, weddignd and other private functions.
Nine years later the band decided to record its own songs, and continued with their dream,until they reached great sucess with the song “Cancao da Familia”.
As a result the doors opened and performing acts took place in the 4 corners of the world, with greater success in the USA.
The recordings continued, and the count is now up to 27 album CD’s, with milions of copies sold, with the “Cancao da Familia” leading the way in terms of sales in Portugal and Portuguese Communities.
Since, it has been success after success, shows thorughout the world, and today is one of the Portuguese bands with great success amongs the Portuguese Communities.
Besides enjoying what they do, the band has the greates respect and charm for their audience, for the organizations, for the press, wihtout them it would be very difficult for the band to exist.
Today, the majority of the Starlight songs are interpreted in shows sang by the public, that makes one shiver...

ABRIRAM-SE AS PORTAS DO MUNDO E COMEÇARAM AS ACTUAÇÕES NOS 4 CANTOS DO MUNDO COM MAIS INFLUENCíA NOS ESTADOS UNIDOS.
